Schoolboy/girl, Cadet and Junior National Dual Team
2005 Application

• Must be a Washington State Resident
• Entry Into tournament is by invite / qualification only – Must have met criteria of one of the following: (See Washington State Wrestling Association Schoolboy/girl, Cadet, and Junior National Dual Teams qualification criteria letter.)

• There will be NO walk ins at the door on day of tournament
• Application must be in the hands of the State Chairman no later than May 7^th, 2005. Application cannot be postmarked by that date – it must be received by that date. Any application turned in after this deadline date of May 7^th, 2005 may or may not be added to the tournament. Final say will come from the coaching staff consisting of the Junior Director, Cadet Director, Eastern or Western Kids Director and the State Chairman.
• A deposit on the trip must be included with the application or the application will be returned. The deposit will be $350.00. This includes partial payment of the dual team trip and $20.00 to cover the dual team qualifier tournament, which this year will go to Juanita High School to cover the costs of putting on the event. This $20.00 is non-refundable. Final payment for the trip will need to be sent in by June 1^st, 2005 if you are selected for the team. If you are not selected, $330.00 of the qualifier tournament entry fee will be refunded back to you within one week of the conclusion of the qualifier tournament.
• Qualifier tournament date is May 14^th, 2005 and will be held at the . Freestyle and Greco Roman will be wrestled in one day, depending on the number of athletes. Weigh in times will be announced on the WSWA web site located at: http://www.WashingtonStateWrestling.com under the tournament schedule page.
• A wrestler MUST wrestle the qualifier tournament at the weight they will wrestle at for the duals.
• Top Wrestlers will be seeded. Unseeded wrestlers will go into brackets by draw number order. A bracket with 6 or more wrestlers will be placed in “A” and “B” pools – with direct cross for final matches.
• “A” Pool #1 will wrestle “B” Pool #1 for 1^st & 2^nd Place
• “A” Pool #2 will wrestle “B” Pool #2 for 3^rd & 4^th Place
• “A” Pool #3 will wrestle “B” Pool #3 for 5^th & 6^th Place

Schoolboy/girl

• A 2^nd year Novice last year that moves to 1^st year Schoolboy/girl this year, points in this category will be cut in half.
• If the points earned out of style (If you are competing in qualifier tournament for freestyle and your points were earned in a Greco-Roman tournament) your points will be cut in half.
• All Folkstyle points earned will be cut in half.

Cadet

· · A 2^nd year Schoolboy/girl last year that moves to 1^st year Cadet this year, points in this category will be cut in half. A Cadet that competes in a Junior Division tournament and places will receive full point value. (Example: Cadet places 1^st at Junior West Regionals in Las Vegas in Freestyle will receive 10 points, if the wrestler uses those points in Greco-Roman the wrestle will only get credit for 5 points.)

• If the points earned out of style (If you are competing in qualifier tournament for freestyle and your points were earned in a Greco-Roman tournament) your points will be cut in half.
• All Folkstyle points earned will be cut in half.

Junior

· · A 2^nd year Cadet last year that moves to 1^st year Junior this year, points in this category will be cut in half. If a Cadet chooses to compete at the Junior tournament, Cadet points earned at a Junior tournament will have full point value. . (Example: Cadet places 1^st at Junior West Regionals in Las Vegas in Freestyle will receive 10 points, if the wrestler uses those points in Greco-Roman the wrestle will only get credit for 5 points.)

• If the points earned out of style (If you are competing in qualifier tournament for freestyle and your points were earned in a Greco-Roman tournament) your points will be cut in half.
• All Folkstyle points earned will be cut in half.

· The number of wrestlers for weights for the 2004 team for Schoolboy/girl (27 total), for both Freestyle and Greco Roman, will be as follows (this could be subject to change):
