EXPECTATIONS OF WASHINGTON STATE COACHES

 

It is indeed an honor to serve as a coach on Team Washington.

 

Our primary concern as representatives of WSWA is to ensure the safety of our group and the rules and reputation of our state.  Those rules of conduct that control our athletes are also to be honored and modeled by the coaches.  Personal use of tobacco, illegal drugs, alcohol and pornography have no place when serving as a leader of Team Washington.  Our language, additionally must reflect respect and be worthy of repetition before any audience.  Meetings need to be attended, on time; hall duty is a responsibility for every coach, and a spirit of availability, approachability, and usefulness at all times is required.  Laws must be obeyed, facilities and other teams and their athletes must be treated respectfully.  Furthermore, the coaches will serve under the leadership and authority of the Team Leaders, usually age-group directors, and Mission Leaders, board appointed representatives from our state.

 

I have read the above information and agree to respect and obey the

Standards of Team Washington while on any sanctioned trip, representing

the state as a Washington State Wrestling Association Coach.
