Eligibility

ATHLETES

A wrestler, to be eligible to participate in the 2012 ASICS/USAW Kids Greco-Roman and Freestyle National Championships, MUST HAVE PARTICIPATED IN AT LEAST ONE STYLE (freestyle or Greco-Roman, folkstyle does not count for qualification) at their designated 2012 USA Wrestling Kids Regional Championship tournament-NO EXCEPTIONS (see Regional Information below). A wrestler may compete in both styles at the national championships even though he/she only competed in one style at the regional tournament. The girls divisions/festivals, held at some of the regional championships, are not defined as Regional Championships and thus DO NOT fulfill the requirements necessary to compete in the Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman National Championships.

Also, please be aware that wrestlers are NOT ALLOWED TO DROP IN WEIGHT CLASS from the regional to the nationals. Whatever weight class the wrestler weighs in at for the regional (not necessarily competes at, but what the scale actually reads) is the lowest weight class the wrestler is eligible to compete at for the nationals.

Athletes MUST present proof of current USA Wrestling Membership Card (actual card or photo copy) at registration AND weigh-ins.
