Clubs, Coaches, Parents, Directors and Officials,

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT STATE CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS ***

*** PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY-FOLKSTYLE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS PRE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 5PM PACIFIC TIME THURSDAY, JANUARY 26th, 2012 ***

*** YOU MUST HAVE A USA CARD PURCHASED TO PRE-REGISTER ***

Mandatory Pre-Registration for all State Championships. No Walk In Registrations at Door will be allowed.

This does not mean pre-pay and does not mean you have to make the weight you register. Your weight will be changed automatically after you weigh in to the correct weight class. If you want to move a weight class, this must be declared at the scales. NO movement of weight classes after you leave the weigh in area. There are no combining of weights at a State Championship.

Weigh Ins are 7-8am. No Late Arrivals allowed. No Exceptions.

Information regarding remaining tournaments can be found on the WSWA Event Schedule link on the left side of the page on the following website:

http://www.WashingtonStateWrestling.com

To ensure you are pre-registered, go back to the pre-registration page for the event you want to look at (where the flashing red/black Register Now button is and click on the Wrestler List link on the right side of page and make sure your wrestlers name is listed. If not, you did not complete all the screens on the pre-registration and you need to either do it again or login to the existing incomplete registration by putting in your invoice number and password. If you are not on the list and are not pre-registered, you will NOT be allowed to wrestle. Pre-registration closes at 5pm PST Thursday, January 26th, 2012.

Do NOT wait until the last week or last day if you are still thinking about it. The pre-registration program has gone down in the past and could again, but if you are not pre-registered, you will not be able to wrestle. There will be no late entries allowed. No phone calls or e-mail entries will be allowed. No walk ins at the door will be allowed.

You must wrestle for a sanctioned WSWA club or Unattached.

Coaching Information:

You must have the following to coach at any State Championships in Washington:

1) A current USAW Coaches card
2) A background screening which has come back approved
3) A NCEP Bronze card (if your USAW Coaches card does not have the bronze cert. listed)
4) A Driver's license or picture Identification

You will not be allowed on the floor without all of these items. If you cannot print your coaches card, your background screening has not been approved yet. Without those items, you will not get a coaching pass to gain access to the floor. Most coaches cards now have the NCEP certification printed on them. If yours does not, you will need to bring your NCEP Bronze or higher level card to the event.

The floor will be under strict enforcement and only 2 coaches will be allowed in the corner (one of those 2 coaches can film or take pictures). All spectators need to remain in the stands. Security will be in place to ensure only coaches and athletes are allowed into the wrestling area. Team points will be deducted if these rules are not followed.

No USA cards will be sold at the events, so you must have your card and background screening prior to arriving.

There will be a bronze class Saturday 01/28/2012. Contact Jay Terry by e-mailing him at TossFor5@hotmail.com for information regarding the classes.
